Algonquin College, Thursday April 12, 2012. – The Algonquin College Athletics Department held its annual Awards Banquet Thursday evening and it was Sandre Bascoe (Women’s Basketball) and Josh Harris (Men’s Volleyball) who received top honours.
Sandre Bascoe led the Thunder Women’s Basketball team to consecutive OCAA Basketball titles with 16.1 points per game average and shooting over 50% from the floor. Bascoe was named OCAA Female Basketball Player of the Year and a CCAA All-Canadianrecipient. At the OCAA Championships, Bascoe received the Championship Tournament MVP Award.
Josh Harris, 5th year outside hitter, powered the Algonquin Men’s Volleyball team to the East Division title with a 19-1 regular season record. Harris was 2nd in the East Division with 43 serve aces and was selected an East Division 1st Team All-Star.
The Most Valuable Player and Rookie of the Year Awards were also presented as follows:

THUNDER BASKETBALL CAMP REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!
The goal of the Algonquin Basketball Camp Program is to promote sportsmanship and to provide young men and women with the opportunity to improve their basketball skills. We also hope that each camper will have a fun experience. At the Algonquin Basketball Camp, we are committed to developing the fundamental skills and knowledge necessary for each youngster to reach his/her potential. The individual will be the focus of our teaching. Players will be grouped by age, size and most importantly - ability.
We are very enthusiastic about our program and invite you to call if you have any questions about the Algonquin Thunder Basketball Camp.

- Print off the registration. Fill out the both the camper information and participant release sections. Mail the completed form to the below address along with credit card information or a cheque ($150). Please no post-dated cheques.
- Print off the registration. Fax the completed form to 613-727-7631 and put it to my attention, or scan and email it to me . Credit card payments only.
- By telephone at 613-727-4723 extension 5331. Please noted that registration forms must still be mailed or faxed in and that registration is not complete until we have received it. Credit card payments only.
