Types of Memberships

All Algonquin Students’ Association (SA) Fee-paying students who have been assessed the Student Activity Fee and the Athletics and Recreation Fee each term are considered a members of the SA and have full access to the Jack Doyle Athletics and Recreation Centre and all its amenities.

Students will need to get their AC Student Photo ID card, then complete the ARC Waiver and finally have their AC Student Photo ID Card activated onsite at the ARC Welcome Desk.

Affiliated Students Defined:

  • AC Online
  • Collaborate / Bridge Program Students (Ottawa U / Carelton U / Nipissing etc.)
  • AC Apprenticeship Programs
  • AC AAADD Program
  • Part-time AC Students (can change within an 8-month period / Reduced course load / Failed courses but have prerequisite to continue in person or be permanently part-time)
  • AC Co-Op semester students
  • Dual Credit – High School
  • Academic upgrading
  • AC Staff
  • Alumni

The ARC Weekend Day Pass will be available for purchase on Saturday and Sunday only. One Day pass per SA Fee Paying or AC Affiliate Member (must have an active membership at the ARC).

SA Fee Paying or AC Affiliate Members must arrive with their guest and sign them in at the Welcome Desk.

Day Pass members must provide a valid piece of ID. Day pass holders will have access to the following amenities of the Jack Doyle Athletics and Recreation Centre:

  • Fitness Only Guest Pass
  • Open Gym time – Recreation Gym
  • No access to Intramurals or Climbing and Bouldering Walls.

What’s included in an ARC Membership?

An ARC Membership includes full access to the following amenities of the Jack Doyle Athletics and Recreation Centre.

  • All Commercial Fitness Equipment 
  • Turf Training Area and Equipment 
  • Climbing and Bouldering Wall 
  • Group Fitness Classes  
  • Indoor Discovery Track 
  • Open Gym Time 
  • Intramurals*
  • Wolves Den Games Room Activities (Bowling, Pool, Golf Simulator)  

*AC Affiliate Students and AC Staff are eligible to participate in Intramurals provided that the membership they have purchased is valid prior to and for the entire duration of the intramural activity offered that semester. You will not be permitted to join the intramurals program if the membership is purchased after the intramural registration period has closed.

HST is included, except for Day Passes. Prices are subject to change.

  • 1 day = $20.00 + HST
  • Fitness, Open Gym
  • No Intramurals Participation
    • No Climbing and Bouldering Wall Access

*Must be signed in by an AC affiliate member who has an active ARC membership.

Community members are not eligible to purchase a membership for the ARC.

Parking

Parking is not included in any of the fees.
