Welcome to the National Capital Region Music Festival!

Founded in 1945 as the Ottawa Music Festival, the Kiwanis Music Festival has grown into one of Ottawa’s premier events, celebrating the musical talents of young performers. What began as a three-day competition has evolved into a month-long celebration every April, with over 3,000 entries and 8,000 participants.

Held across various churches and schools in Ottawa, the festival culminates in the Highlights Concert at the Algonquin Commons Theatre, featuring some of the best and most talented young musicians.

Standard Admission: $30.00 (plus applicable fees)
Student (Student ID Required): $10.00 (plus applicable fees)

*Valid Algonquin College student ID is required to access and use this ticket type.

All ages event. Children aged 2 and under may attend the event at no cost (with no ticket), provided they sit on a parent's lap.

The Algonquin Commons Theatre is committed to providing universal accessible seating for all patrons. Coat Check will not be provided for this event. Large bags (such as backpacks, large purses, and gym bags) are not permitted into the venue.

Parking

Paid parking is in effect at all times. Red Parking Lot 8 is the closest possible lot to our venue. Parking is a $6.00 flat rate on weekends and after 5:00pm on weekdays in Lots 8, 9, 10 and 12. See Algonquin College Parking Services for the parking map.
