Algonquin Students’ Association Board of Directors Announce 2023-2024 Priorities

The Algonquin Students’ Association Board of Directors began their term in office on May 1, 2023. They immediately began connecting with students over the summer months to learn what is impacting their success – both in and out of the classroom. 

From these conversations, the Board creates a list of goals to work on with partners at Algonquin College. These goals become priorities that will guide their work throughout their term. 

This academic year, the SA Board of Directors will advocate for: 

  1. A dignified, accessible, and affordable housing experience across all campuses that reflects the values of Algonquin College. 
  2. Improving academic delivery to create evolving and equitable learning experiences. 
  3. Broadened accessibility to College facilities and resources. 
  4. Bridging the gap between domestic and international students to create a memorable, successful, and equitable student experience. 
  5. Sustainable campuses. 
  6. Efficient and cost-effective transportation services on all campuses. 

The Board will use opportunities like events, focus groups, Class Representative Meetings, and other means to connect with students and seek feedback on these topics throughout the year. The feedback they receive will inform their committee work within the College community.
