Final Assessment Week is right around the corner. From saving time on morning meal prep to enjoying a free night out at the movies, here are eight ways your Students’ Association can help support you during one of the busiest weeks of the term.

1: Stock up on free whole foods
Back by popular demand, the Students’ Association is hosting a Free Farmers’ Market at the beginning of April. Algonquin College students can look forward to stocking up on 8-10 pieces of farm-fresh produce per student. Available while supplies last.
- Ottawa – Tuesday, April 1, at 2:30 pm
- Pembroke – Tuesday, April 1, at 10:30 am
- Perth – Wednesday, April 2 at 11:30 am
2: Unwind by going bowling in the Games Room
Students who are fee-paying members of the Students’ Association have free access to the Wolves Den Games room, which includes bowling, pool tables, and virtual golf. Learn everything you need to know about booking time in the Games Room and our guest rates here.
3: Grab a free breakfast and save time on meal prep
AC students can grab a free hot breakfast in the Observatory at 8:30 am from Wednesday, April 9, to Friday, April 11. Click here to learn more and view the full menu.
4: Register for a group fitness class at the ARC
Just like our Games Room, fitness classes at the ARC are free for all SA fee-paying members. Yoga, Spin, Jiu Jitsu, and more. Check out the full lineup of classes and learn how to register for them here.
5: Enjoy a free movie
Take a break from studying and stop by the Algonquin Commons Theatre on Thursday, April 8, at 7 pm for a free screening of A Complete Unknown, starring Timothée Chalamet.
6: Book a meeting room for group projects
The Students’ Association offers four different meeting rooms in the Student Commons on our Ottawa campus for students who want to do group work on campus in a quiet setting.
7: Declutter your workspace
Help students in need and get a head start on your spring cleaning for a chance to win $50 in grocery money. Starting on Tuesday, April 1, donate your gently used items to the SA Thrift Store by dropping them off at the SA Front Desk (E114). Donations made from April 1 to April 15 will enter you into the draw, but we’ll continue accepting donations until May 9. Learn more here.
8: Access free mental health support
Your Student Health Plan covers more than just dental and prescriptions. Algonquin students can use it to get free access to therapists and other trained professionals. Check out our wellness page to learn more about your eligibility and start prioritizing yourself today.
