ISAC is an international student working group dedicated to sharing perspectives on international student programs and services and increasing international student engagement with the campus.
ISAC allows you as an international student to voice your concerns and give feedback on on-campus resources, supports and systems. As an ISAC member, you are encouraged to represent international students’ diverse perspectives by attending events, meetings and providing crossover representation on various committees.
It is also a platform for Algonquin International Education Center and Algonquin College Students’ Association to build awareness of services and resources available to international students.
An ISAC member promotes the educational needs and interests of international students at all times and put forward policies for adoption by the College.
Members, through consultation with their fellow students, identify key issues important to Algonquin international students’ academic experience.
Members review Algonquin College’s international student satisfaction performance including the dissemination of surveys, net promoter scores and other data that benchmark the College’s progress in student satisfaction performance.
ISAC members promote international student representation on governing bodies at Algonquin College
And finally, ISAC members promote the Algonquin Experience – ensuring alignment of international student activities with College values, policies, priorities and activities.
