Class Representatives - Algonquin Students' Association

Class Representatives

Student Life » Class Representatives

Class Representatives are the link between their classrooms and the Algonquin Students’ Association. They voice the opinions of the classroom to the Students’ Association, and inform the students of the Students’ Association’s ongoing activities. They also serve as the link between classrooms and faculty.

If you have any questions, please contact Matt Regnier, Manager, Board Governance and Administration.

Registration for the Fall 2025 Class Representatives will close on Tuesday, September 30, at 5:00 PM.

Register as a Class Rep

How do I become a Class Rep?

Class Representatives are elected in class by their peers, with program faculty overseeing the election process and confirming the selected student.

To be eligible, Class Reps must:

  • Be enrolled in a full-time program
  • Be elected by their classmates
  • Represent only one group level within a full-time program

If you’ve been chosen as your class’s representative, your professor or program coordinator will ask you to register here so the Students’ Association can officially record your role and keep you updated with important information.

Class Rep Training

Class Rep training is done through a simple online training course. This course will cover everything from program council meetings, to your roles and responsibilities, and will be sent out to all Class Reps once registration has closed.
